We're presenting Jessica Frances Dukes' Mini Muse for The Muse Project. Having always been fascinated with ancestry and moments of the past, Jessica has chosen to trace her familial lineage. In the beginning, there was no doubt in her mind that her family was previously enslaved in America. What she was not prepared to discover, however, was that one of her maternal ancestors was also a slave-owner.
