NYC. Oof. RIP Paul Reubens, of Pee-Wee Herman fame. A brilliant, Peter Pan syndrome clown for the ages. My incredibly talented friend, Jess Pohly, played opposite Reubens, as Pepper, in Pee-Wee's Big Holiday. I remember getting coffee with her in LA after the film came out, marveling at her newfound cult status. So sorry for this loss.
NYC. Adam Conover explains the WGA & SAG-AFTRA strikes. Very interesting and helpful, no matter where you fall on some of what he discusses. NYC. Received our Telly Award in the mail today. Grateful to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Tank, The Muse Project (me;), and The Merchant's House Museum, and especially thankful to Donya K. Washington, Cecil Baldwin, Florencia Lozano, Josh Horvath, Scarlett Kim, Nataki Garrett, as well as Jenny Turner Hall, Jonathan A. Goldberg, and Aaron Mark. Takes a village... #tellyawards
NYC. Isaac Butler in today's NY Times. He offers some good food for thought. We need more of this, and more investigative journalism! More here.
NYC. More of this. This is happening at almost every major theater across the country; and, yet, the reporting has been quite minimal and superficial. Very little investigative journalism about this epidemic.
