NYC. Praying for all those in pain. The attack on Israel was horrific and indefensible. The sexual violence committed against women (and some men) was (and continues to be) especially grotesque. Nothing can excuse it. NYC. Annie Baker's Infinite Life is probably one of the best new plays of the season. Baker is the auteur dujour when it comes to human fragility and a class of cinematic theater. She is also a mistress of kindness. Her work is so, so deeply kind. At a time when disconnected meanness feels especially potent, her work is a testament to compassionate connection.
