NYC. I got to catch A Raisin in the Sun starring the phenomenal Tonya Pinkins. A flooring production—with some incredibly acute, startling, moving and incisive choices. Go see it if you are in NYC. If you are not in NYC, go to NYC to see it;). It runs until November 20th!
EDIT: Also, Tonya penned this open letter to The New York Times. An invitation to challenging conversation and curiosity. I find it deeply moving. At a time when everyone knows everything, and it's easy to shut down & squash dialogue, and block ourselves from discomfort - it really feels like we need to be asking more questions. Seoul, South Korea. I had the tremendous fortune to travel to Seoul many times over the years, visiting family and friends. This is a gut wrenching tragedy. My heart goes out to friends, colleagues, loved ones, Itaewon, Seoul, South Korea.
NYC. Got to celebrate Cayuga Centers 170th Anniversary at The Players Club. Had a great time, and met some wonderful people.
NYC. A beautiful portrait of Lansbury in The New York Times, produced by Kassie Bracken. RIP Dame Angela Lansbury. Legend indeed.
NYC. Had a blast celebrating the launch of Maulik Pancholy’s second book, Nikhil Out Loud, at Books of Wonder in NYC! Maulik is so inspiring and so talented and soooo kind. Get your copy!!! Congrats Maulik!!! 🎈🎉
