NYC. Annie Baker's Infinite Life is probably one of the best new plays of the season. Baker is the auteur dujour when it comes to human fragility and a class of cinematic theater. She is also a mistress of kindness. Her work is so, so deeply kind. At a time when disconnected meanness feels especially potent, her work is a testament to compassionate connection.
