NYC. Saw Funny Girl with some of my closest, and I kind of 'happened' upon Lea Michele's performance - which is spectacular, for a variety of complex reasons. I hadn't seen the show or movie in a long time. Though, of course much rarer, reminds me, still, of how much work women do to appease the often too-fragile-egos of men (Nicky Arnstein: the extremely dated, slick, bumbling loser of a man-child, disappointing), and how much we, culturally, still create a lot of room for men's self-centered inconsideration, but deplore anything similar in women. Anyway, a lot there... Also, this is interesting.
